Subaru Mountains Classification
The top climbers at the Santos Tour Down Under wear the Subaru Polka Dot Jersey and vie for the honour of being crowned the Subaru King or Queen of the Mountains.
This jersey is awarded at the end of each stage, and the race, to the rider who leads the cumulative Subaru Mountains Classification.
Points are awarded at pre-determined summits along each stage. This jersey traditionally has a polka dot pattern, which started in the Tour de France in 1975 and has been adopted by other races around the world. The Santos Tour Down Under King of the Mountain jersey has navy blue polka dots.
