UniSA-Australia

UniSA Australia womens hero banner

The UniSA-Australia team is the Dream Team of Australian women's cycling at the Santos Women's Tour Down Under.

Why? Simply because it features the best uncontracted Aussie talent and riders assigned to pro teams not competing in the race. 2018's race featured possibly one of the strongest line-ups, with retiring team leader Katrin Garfoot winning a bold climb to the top of Mengler Hill, only to lose out in the general classification to ex-teammate Amanda Spratt the following day.

Still, Garfoot's performance saw her bag the UniSA-Australia team's first classification win - taking out the points for her strong finishes in the sprints across the week.

Team UniSA-Australia first raced in Adelaide at the men's Santos Tour Down Under in 2001 and has been successful as the national team brand in that race for 17 years.

In 2020, the team will be led by veteran rider Rach Neylan, who will be looking to improve on her third-placing in the 2019 Santos General Classification.
